University Web Project - JSdiver: Part 4
08/11/24
Hello again! It's been a good week or so since I last put anything here about JSDiver, so I figured i'd post an update on all the progress i've made.
Right now, it's still just on my University Webpage! I will put it here and on GitHub once I've finalised it and submitted the assignment. For now though, here's what's new:
- Framerate Issue is now fixed. It still performs a little slower on weaker devices, but the main plus is that it doesn't perform too FAST on beefier devices.
- Death Animation, inspired vaguely by the cutscene from Ludwig's Castle, in Super Mario World (YouTube).
- Working Leaderboards - You can now submit scores after death, as well as see other people's scores in their respective difficulty levels. Score submission may or may not be easily exploitable through
GET
but that's something I can tune out afterwards.
I may or may not throw a few more features and fixes into the mix before submission, right now my priority is proper documentation. In the meantime, thanks for checking in.
